EIA National: $4.465 on Sep 28

The national regular average across the 7-Eleven network rose from $4.227 on September 1 to $4.543 on September 30, an increase of 31.6 cents (+7.46%). Prices had already risen 8.4 cents overnight between August 31 and September 1, so the increase from the end of August was 40.0 cents. Prices rose at 3,315 of 3,641 stations with readings at both ends of the month (91.0%), and the median station rose 30 cents.

The national market moved the same way. AAA reported crude back near $100 a barrel on Strait of Hormuz volatility, and its national average reached a record for the time of year on September 24. Unlike the warehouse and big-box brands we track, 7-Eleven stations priced 8.2 cents above the EIA's September 28 national average ($4.547 vs. $4.465). That is mostly because of where the stations are: 7-Eleven has large networks in California, Nevada, and Washington, and no stations in several of the cheapest states, including Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
